Features

Draper Header Design

Harvest More Acres Per Day

  • Superior crop feeding and less susceptibility to crop moisture
  • Exclusive in-cab deployment of low-speed transportation system, which requires no header cart
  • Exclusive CentraCut™ Knife Drive with center-mounted knife drive that improves performance across the cutterbar and minimizes cutterbar vibration
  • Narrow dividers reduce crop knockdown increasing grain savings
  • Optional in cab cutterbar control on TerraFlex™ flexible cutterbar draper header

Maximum Grain Savings

  • Having a Flexible Cutterbar (3162) allows you harvest more of what you grow by having better ground following capabilities
  • The Narrow End Divider design reduces crop from being knocked down maximizing grain savings
  • The Cam Action Reel gently conveys crop to the draper belts reducing reel shatter
  • A Seed Saver Channel on the bottom edge of the draper belts allows the grain to be pulled in to the combine instead of being lost
  • Hydraulic Fore Aft Tilt is standard equipment that allows for maximum ground following in changing conditions
  • 3162 TerraFlex™ flexible cutterbar draper header offers in cab cutterbar control for enhanced customer control

Case IH Header Manufacturing

  • To ensure the highest levels of quality and reliability Case IH has made significant investments into header manufacturing
  • All Case IH 3020, 3100 series drapers and 4400/4200 series corn heads are built in Burlington, Iowa for model year 2014. The 3016 pick-up header is produced in the Saskatoon Assembly Plant, with the 2010 head being manufactured in Rock Island, Illinois
  • The Burlington Assembly Plant began building Case Combines in 1937
  • The Burlington plant has gone through extensive renovations to incorporate the latest manufacturing technology

Industry Leading Features

Frame

  • The Case IH 3100 series draper headers have been designed from the ground up starting with the frame. All 3152/3162 frames are designed with fully welded construction to ensure strength and durability in the field
  • The frame has also been designed for simplicity. The 3152/3162 requires very little set-up and is simple to make adjustments as needed

CentraCut™ (Knife Drive)

  • The CentraCut provides the ability for a narrow end dividers and a well balanced knife drive since the head is driven from the center. This also eliminates the need for a double knife drive
  • The CentraCut is a hydraulically driven mechanical drive, with adjustable knife speed on the back side of the header. If the knife becomes plugged, it is fully reversible from in the cab
  • The drive is very simple in design and eliminates having extra components on the ends of the header
  • For high levels of productivity, knife speed can be adjusted all the way to an impressive 1260 strokes per minute
  • A 3-inch course cut knife provides exceptional cut quality even at high ground speeds

Flexible Cutterbar (3162)

  • Features 3" up and 3" down for a total of 6" of cutterbar travel. This provides the ability to harvest low podded beans in uneven terrain. The cutterbar can also be locked ridged for cutting off of the ground
  • Cutterbar tension is controlled using a simple rubber torsion block that provides consistent response through the full range of cutterbar travel
  • The cutterbar flotation can be adjusted on the back of the header or from the comfort of the cab as an option

Draper Belts

  • To ensure the highest quality the 3152/3162 drapers use WCCO Raptor belting. WCCO is the leading manufacture of draper belt when it comes to agriculture
  • If the draper belt became damaged from a rock or foreign object it can be serviced rather than replaced
  • A Seed Saver Channel on the bottom edge of the draper belts allows the grain to be pulled in to the combine instead of being lost

Cam Action Reel

  • The Case IH six bat cam action reel is designed to positively engage crop then gently lift the crop and move it over the cutterbar and across the draper belt floor to be conveyed by the belt
  • For different crop conditions the cam timing can easily be changed to provide different reel tine angles

Low Speed Transport

  • The low speed transport system is available as an option for the 3152/3162. The transport wheels can be hydraulically deployed in less than 20 seconds from the comfort of the cab using the propulsion handle
  • This industry exclusive features saves time and provides a convenience that no other header offers

Drives

  • The 3152/3162 series draper headers uses a simple, but, very heavy duty drive system
  • The feed auger utilizes a PTO shaft drive
  • When the header is engaged after being reversed the side drapers are delayed on engagement to prevent slugging the combine feeder house

TerraFlex™ Cutterbar

  • Exclusive TerraFlex torsion block provided true flexible cutterbar
  • Torsion arms can be adjusted individually to fine tune cutterbar pressure
  • Optional in cab cutterbar pressure allows the operator to adjust cutterbar pressure on-the-go to match field conditions
